I have been busy with other, non-crafty pursuits but I have been sewing recently. I have made several pillow covers that I will post photos of as soon as I get batteries for the camera. I was also going to make Halloween costumes this year but the weather has been really cold and it isn't very fall-like outside. It is more like winter, so I am not going to make them this year. Maybe for next year.

I borrowed my mom's heavy-duty sewing machine and will be finishing the slipcovers for the couch and chair. I finally had to take off the ugly sheets that were covering both pieces of furniture. I just could not stand it anymore.

As part of the non-crafty pursuits I have been doing, I have been learning about crafts, of all things, specifically creating stained glass and weaving. I did some weaving in college and made a loom but my dad chopped it up and used the wood. The stained glass is not as difficult as it looks and I took a glass cutting class last year. I would like to make a stained glass panel for the window at the bottom of my stairs. It looks like it will be a long winter, so I will have plenty of time for this I am sure.

I am going to try and arrange my schedule so I have time to do crafty stuff and of course will post.

Sounds like you're a very busy lady. And productive! =)

I'm not "crafty" - though I wish I were. I do love the beauty of stained glass though. In fact, I used to live in a big old Victorian home that was filled with lovely stained glass. If I remember, I'll try to post some pics of the glass on my FB page for you to see. I miss it a lot. It was gorgeous as it captured the sinlight and reflected it in a spectrum of color.

So this is what your doing in your craft room, that is, in-between tending to the monsters(not including me of course). I'm excited about the stained glass window. When we sell this place we'll have to yank it out and take it with us. We can put some plexi back in. Who does that! Wait, I know who...
